Modern day cruise ships

The modern day cruise ships are something people only dared to dream of. They are like the floating island fom Julles Verene book. Actual cities on water which travel year long across the seas and oceans of the world. They have come a long way from the famous Titanic which although it was very luxurious, it was lacking in even the basic safety measures as it did not even have enough life boats for all its passengers. Now these kind of ships are fitted with all the latest life saving equipment from life vests, life rafts, sprinklers, fire alarms, portable defibrillator, first aid crew and doctors etc. Other than that the luxury within the ship its self is much more sumptuous that it was 100 years ago. A typical room is equally as good, if not better than in any land hotel. However the main attraction on cruise ships are the entertainment facilities which offer all kind of interesting activities for the on board passengers. They have ball rooms with dance floor music, water parks with pools and tubes, casinos with roulette and bars with contemporary bar stools. There is everything a man could ever need in order to never get bored. There are people who spend so much as an entire year on the board of a cruise ship. They travel the world and live a sumptuous life in the same time.  The only thing limiting this explosive experience is the budget which must be really a lot for maintaing such a lifestyle for the course of an year or even more. Most of the passengers however just take short vacation trips which last between one and 4 weeks and which don’t cost more than a few thousand dollars per person.
